A socially distanced presentation took place this week to honour Bill and Lynda Barry, the past Commodore and Secretary of the Middle Level Watermen’s Club.

The presentation of honorary life memberships and a commemorative plaque took place outside their home in March and was made by the current acting Commodore Colin Ovenden.

With a heartfelt short speech, Colin paid tribute to their service over many years, including six years in total as Commodore and Secretary, that the Barry’s devoted to the club.

“I would like to say a big thank you to Colin and all of our dear friends of the MLWC to be honoured in this way, the best thing to happen to us in months. It’s a superb looking plaque that will sit in our lounge displayed with pride,” said Bill.
